NEET 2025 RESULTS - ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET 2025 results on Friday, June 14, 2025. The announcement is a turning point for more than 22 lakh of India’s future medical and dental students who are now set to take on the next NEET 2025 counselling procedure to get admitted to MBBS and BDS.

NEET UG 2025 scorecard is now available on the official portal, neet.nta.nic.in. In addition to personal scores, the NEET 2025 toppers list and category-wise cut-off marks have been released by the NTA, giving clarity to candidates entering the admission process.

Mahesh Kumar – AIR 1

Utkarsh Awadhiya – AIR 2

Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh has secured the All India Rank 2 in NEET UG 2025. Originally from Seoni and later moving to Indore, Utkarsh was deeply inspired by his father’s unfulfilled dream of having a doctor in the family and his grandfather’s wish for a medical professional.

He balanced his studies at Sri Krishna Public School in Indore with various sports and mind games like speed-cubing and chess, and diligently followed Aakash Institute’s three-year classroom program.

Krishang Joshi – AIR 3

Krishang Joshi from Maharashtra achieved the All India Rank 3 in the NEET UG 2025 examination. Krishang completed his 11th and 12th grades in Pune, and his motivation for a medical career stemmed from his relatives who are doctors and his parents’ desire for him to enter this noble profession.

He credits his success to the guidance of his teachers, the study materials from his coaching institute (Aakash), consistent revision of NCERT books, and rigorous daily mock tests.

More than 50% Passed

Of the 22,09,318 candidates who took the test, a large number of candidates –  12,36,531 have passed, qualifying them for admission to different medical and dental courses in the country.

Highest Score is 686

Surprisingly enough, none of the candidates this year obtained a 720/720 perfect score. The highest obtained in NEET UG 2025 is 686.

Cut Offs

For unreserved/EWS category, the cut-off marks is at least 144 For OBC, SC, and ST categories, the qualifying score is a minimum of 113-143. The detailed scorecard of NEET UG 2025 is available to candidates by logging into the official NTA website: neet.nta.nic.in. Results are also accessible through nta.ac.in, the UMANG App, and Digilocker.

Counselling Dates

Although official dates have not yet been made public by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) in a formal announcement, NEET counselling for the All India Quota (AIQ) is expected to start from late July 2025 or early August 2025. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be responsible for All India Quota (AIQ) counselling for 15% MBBS/BDS seats in government colleges, in addition to admissions to central institutions, deemed universities, AIIMS, and JIPMER.

Registration for the aforementioned will be on mcc.nic.in.

State Counselling

Separate counselling will be organized by individual state authorities for the balance 85% of state quota seats in government medical/dental colleges and in private colleges in their respective states.

All-India Ayush Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) – Counselling for AYUSH courses (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS) shall be organized by the AACCC through aaccc.gov.in.

The counselling procedure generally includes online registration, option filling and locking of desired institutions and courses, seat allotment result, and final reporting to the college allotted for document verification and admission formalities.

Candidates are advised in strong terms to keep an eye on the official website of the NTA and MCC for on-time updates on counselling schedules and comprehensive admission procedures.
